Empowering Young Voices Against Caste-Based Discrimination

Education should be a right, not a privilege based on caste.
– A message echoed by students of Shree Kuleshwor Madhyamik Vidyalaya

On the occasion of Caste-Based Discrimination and Untouchability Eradication Day, CDWN organized a thought-provoking speech competition at Shree Kuleshwor Madhyamik Vidyalaya. The theme, “The Impact of Caste-Based Discrimination on Education,” encouraged students to reflect on how inequality still exists within learning spaces—and what must change.

The event became more than a competition. It served as a safe space for young voices to express their perspectives on discrimination, justice, and the importance of equal opportunities for all. Their speeches revealed not only awareness but also empathy and a deep desire for a society where education uplifts every child, regardless of caste or background.

At CDWN, we believe youth engagement is key to challenging harmful social norms. When students are empowered to speak, they inspire action and understanding within their communities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partner ELCA for their invaluable support in helping us create platforms for awareness, dialogue, and change.
