Municipality Level Speech Competition on Foreign Employment Opportunities and Challenges
As part of the HamroSahakarya initiative, a Municipality level speech competition on Foreign Employment Opportunities and Challenges was successfully organized among schools of Brahmapuri Rural Municipality, Sarlahi. The program was organized by Brahmapuri Rural Municipality with support from Center for Dalit Women Nepal (CDWN) and Nepal Dalit Sewa Samaj (NDSS).
Students confidently shared their perspectives on the opportunities foreign employment can bring, as well as the challenges families and communities often experience. They reflected on harmful social norms that influence migration decisions and highlighted the importance of informed and safe choices.
The program promoted open dialogue and critical thinking, recognizing students as true agents of change within their communities. To appreciate their effort and excellence, prizes were awarded to the outstanding speakers.
This initiative "Hamro Sahakarya" funded by the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu with support from UN Women Nepal , Led by the Center for Dalit Women Nepal (CDWN) and Nepal Dalit Sewa Samaj focuses on transforming discriminatory harmful social norms and fostering gender equality through community-driven efforts.
