Closing session of SHG at Mahabharat

A closing ceremony was organized in Mahabharat, Kavre, marking an important milestone in the journey of the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) supported through the project. The event brought together SHG members, local government representatives, and project stakeholders to reflect on the groups’ progress and discuss their plans for continued engagement at the local level.

During the ceremony, SHG members were recognized for their participation and commitment through the distribution of certificates. The SHGs were formally handed over to the respective local governments, strengthening local ownership and creating a pathway for their continued functioning beyond the project period.

As part of the handover process, SHG members also presented their one-year action plans to the local government representatives. The plans reflected the priorities identified by the groups and their commitment to continue collective action, support one another, and engage with local government institutions.

The closing ceremony marked not only the completion of project-supported activities but also a transition towards locally owned and sustained SHG initiatives, with local governments playing a greater role in supporting and facilitating the groups in the future.
