Key Highlights

1. Livelihood Support Distribution

Two SHG members, Chandra Maya Tumsing and Kanchi Maya Moktan, received shop items tailored to their needs. This support is helping them strengthen their small businesses and improve household income.

2. SHG Module Completion

The final Year 2 module (Module 12) was successfully conducted across six SHGs. Activities like Draw & Describe, I Am Template, and Samajik Sanjalikaran helped members reflect on their two-year learning journey.

3. Surveys

Annex 8 and Perception Surveys were conducted to document SHG members’ experiences and gather insights for future planning.

4. Livelihood Monitoring

Monitoring visits confirmed most supported livestock were in good condition. A few issues (e.g., goat mortality, animal health) were noted, and SHG members were advised to seek ward-level support.

5. Advocacy on Polygamy

Together with SHG and mothers’ groups, attention letters were submitted to Ward 6 and Ward 7. The letters raised concerns about Nepal’s recent polygamy law, highlighting its negative impacts on women and gender equality.

6. Distribution of Bags & Stationery

SHG members received bags and stationery promoting awareness against harmful social norms. Local leaders, including Ward Chairpersons, participated in the distribution.
