EMPOWERING MOTHERS
Today, as part of our Transformational Education Program (TEP) under the project Improving Gender Equality and Social Inclusion and Reducing Poverty through Education of Dalit and Highly Marginalized Girls and Women, supported by ELCA, we had an inspiring session with the mothers of the children we are supporting through education. These mothers, from highly marginalized communities, learned how to create useful items from waste materials.
In this hands-on session, these strong and resilient mothers made beautiful clothing for small children from scrap clothes, turning waste into valuable resources. This not only promotes creativity and resourcefulness but also contributes to a cleaner, healthier environment.
By supporting these mothers in learning such skills, we’re not only improving their livelihoods but also fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental care. Together, we are building a better future for our children and communities.
