Description of the Project:- With the COVID-19 pandemic, gender-based violence also spiked as a shadow pandemic. Women experienced multiple levels of violence as they were in lockdown with their abusers. This project was borne to address
the rising level of gender-based violence which is already a major problem when it comes to women’s rights and safety. As such, with an aim to reduce all forms of violence against women, this 3-year project is running with the support of the United Nations Trust Fund for Women in three districts of Madhesh Province namely Bara, Parsa, and Siraha. The project primarily works with Madhesi, Dalit, and other marginalized women, but also works with men groups, leaders, and other service sectors.

The major areas of the project:- Physical Violence, intimate partner violence, Harmful practices, Child/Early or Forced Marriage, Sexual Harassment, and violence in public spaces/institutions, dowry-related violence.
