Relief distribution to 440 families of Jagaran Tole, Balkhu

In the aftermath of the devastating floods, CDWN, with financial support from ELCA, has completed a crucial relief distribution to assist 417 affected families. These families received essential food items like rice, lentils, mixed beans, oil, and salt to meet their immediate dietary needs. Additionally, to help restore basic household functionality, kitchenware such as pressure cookers, kadahis, gas stoves, and propane tanks were distributed, along with bedding, including mattresses and quilts, to families whose belongings were washed away in the flood.

This relief effort could not have been possible without the tireless dedication of local volunteers, who generously donated their time and labor to ensure that the distribution process went as smoothly as possible. While the relief came a bit later than anticipated, the collective effort has made a meaningful impact on the affected communities. We are proud to have worked together to provide essential support, helping these families on their journey toward recovery.

Key Achievements:

• 440 families received food support, exceeding the initial target. The increase was based on verified survey data collected by CDWN and JTSS, confirming the actual number of families residing in the settlement.
• 440 families received kitchenware (pressure cooker, Kadahi).
