FINDINGS OF GEDSI AUDIT

CDWN is excited to share the findings from the "Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Audit" workshop held in Tansen Municipality. This workshop served as a key initiative to assess how effectively GEDSI principles are integrated into local governance structures, policies, and practices—highlighting both the achievements and the existing gaps in creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all.

Through active participation from local government representatives, civil society organizations, and community members, we were able to identify critical areas where improvements are needed and uncover opportunities to strengthen inclusive governance. The findings from this audit will play a vital role in guiding future actions and policy enhancements at the municipal level.

This important initiative was part of the Fostering Effective and Inclusive Sub-National Governance Program, implemented in partnership with The Asia Foundation and the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
